"UZAUTO MOTORS" JSC has successfully re-certified...
"UzAuto Motors" JSC, as a leading company in the automotive industry of the CIS countries, has once again confirmed its leadership in quality and innovation. The plant recently successfully defended the BIQ IV (Built-In-Quality) quality standards certificate. This achievement demonstrates the plant's adherence to high-quality standards and its commitment to providing the best quality products to customers, helping it conquer new markets and further increase its market share.
According to the conclusion of international experts who conducted the external audit, the Asaka automobile plant successfully defended the BIQ IV level with an overall score of 91.1% for implementing GM-GMS system requirements, and achieved a 100% result in meeting GMS absolute requirements and the plant's quality performance indicators. In the coming years, "UzAuto Motors" aims to achieve the highest quality level in the GM system, BIQ NEXT.
The audit process was conducted by international experts from General Motors International Organization, based on the five principles of the GM-GMS system, covering four years of improvement work. The audit reviewed efforts to align the company's production processes, continuously develop employees, establish standardized work processes, improve the quality system, and ensure the integrity of the supply system.
During the audit, growth in quality system development indicators was noted, particularly regarding efforts to address defects during the warranty period. In 2020, for every 219,365 cars produced, 8 defects occurred; in 2023, for every 285,291 cars, 7 defects were recorded; and in the first six months of 2024, for 129,800 cars, there were 2.8 defects. As a result, a 2.5-fold increase in product quality indicators was observed.
Additionally, during the inspection based on the standardization principle, it was found that the company’s production volume had increased from 126,221 units to 129,800 units in the first half of 2024. This capacity expansion created new jobs and enabled the introduction of standardized work processes. Moreover, in line with the employee engagement principle, "UzAuto Motors" recruited over 4,500 new employees at the Asaka automobile plant over the past four years. The weekly training sessions organized to improve their qualifications were highly appreciated by the auditors.
Obtaining the BIQ certificate strengthens the confidence of foreign partner organizations and investors in the plant, contributing to an increase in the plant's localization level, boosting export volumes, and most importantly, creating opportunities for the implementation of new projects at the Asaka automobile plant.
