UzAuto Motors Powertrain Exports CSS Prime Cylinde...
Since December 2024, UzAuto Motors Powertrain has been exporting CSS Prime cylinder blocks to Latin America. The total volume of shipments amounts to 40,000 units, worth $4.9 million.
This success became possible following the significant expansion of the company’s production capacity in 2022. During that period, the CSS Prime assembly line was launched, producing modern naturally aspirated and turbocharged 1.2-liter engines using General Motors technology. These engines are intended for Chevrolet Onix and Chevrolet Tracker models. The products fully meet modern standards for efficiency, performance, and reliability.
The foundation of such achievements lies in systematic development and investments in advanced manufacturing technologies. Back in July 2012, UzAuto Motors Powertrain launched serial production of second-generation B-DOHC gasoline engines with 1.2 and 1.5-liter displacement. These power units now provide an optimal balance of power and fuel efficiency and are installed in Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles (previously used in Spark, Nexia 3, and Gentra models).
Continuous technological upgrades also play a key role in the success of UzAuto Motors Powertrain. The company has implemented an HPDC (High-Pressure Die Casting) line, enabling the production of high-precision cylinder block castings. Gravity casting technology is used for cylinder heads, ensuring structural stability and strength. All machining operations are performed using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment, guaranteeing high precision and compliance with international standards. It is worth noting that UzAuto Motors Powertrain is a unique production facility in the region. Today, it is the first and only plant in Central Asia that operates a full-cycle engine production process — from casting aluminum components to final machining and assembly. This approach significantly reduces logistics costs and keeps production costs 10–20% lower compared to similar facilities in other countries.
As a result, UzAuto Motors Powertrain’s products successfully compete in international markets and comply with global standards. An additional advantage is the use of local human resources and energy supplies, which reduces dependence on external factors and enhances economic resilience.
