Italian President Sergio Mattarella visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) during his official visit to Uzbekistan. Led by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, the honored guest was welcomed by Chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat JSC Ulugbek Rozukulov and Rector of TTPU Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev.
One of the main goals of the Italian President's visit was to strengthen cooperation in the field of industrial transformation. In his official speech, Mattarella emphasized that the exchange of knowledge and ideas plays a key role in the Italian-Uzbek partnership. He noted that the long-term cooperation with Turin Polytechnic University is the result of more than a decade of work and represents a concrete path for both countries.
The Italian delegation was also represented by Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy Guido Saracco, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Anita Tabacco and other representatives of the university. Guido Saracco expressed the honor of President Mattarella's visit, emphasizing that the university has been a leader in spreading engineering education and Italian technologies in Uzbekistan since 2009
As part of the visit, TTPU also hosted a seminar on "Educational and Innovation Partnership in the Transformation of Industry in Uzbekistan", where the Italian delegation shared its experience in the field of "Industry 4.0". Special attention was paid to the prospects of education, research and technology transfer between universities of both countries, as well as the best practices of industrial cooperation in the field of Industry 4.0.
