"AgroTech Klaster" was established in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2021. A full-cycle cluster system has been created on the basis of the Chirchik Agricultural Machinery Plant due to optimization of capacities of 5 machine-building enterprises. For this purpose new constructions with the area of 38 thousand square meters were built and more than 35 thousand square meters of existing buildings were repaired.
The cluster is capable of producing 15 thousand tractors, trailers and other equipment per year. Employment of 1 thousand jobs has been ensured. Another important aspect is the expansion of cooperation of sectoral enterprises, reduction of costs and production costs.
Recently, the cluster produced its first domestic product - a universal tractor. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev observed the first machines.
Production of a combine harvester is also being launched. It was emphasized the importance of continuing work in this direction, localization of imported products, involvement of the private sector in this process.
There is a great demand for machinery in our agriculture. We need affordable, domestically produced, cost-effective machinery. This requires work on localization and production costs. If we do not provide farmers with inexpensive equipment, there will be no interest," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The head of state emphasized the importance of technical maintenance of equipment. It was noted that the cluster should not only sell, but also service the equipment. Also, the task has been set to create service centers and organize quality service on the example of Tashkent region, to train young people to repair equipment free of charge.
In the cluster, special attention is paid to the integration of science and production. Moreover, a modern scientific center has been opened. In cooperation with educational centers of German and Swedish companies, training of specialists in the form of continuous dual education has been established here. At the same time, students of higher educational institutions get practical training in the cluster.
The President inspected samples of products and talked to specialists.
Currently in the clusters the volume of machine harvested cotton is approaching 50 percent. For 6 months of this year we exported fruits and vegetables for more than 550 million dollars, and in the near future we want to increase to 2-3 billion. There are many more projects in all sectors of agriculture. They need high-quality, affordable equipment to increase productivity and facilitate people's labor," the President noted.
The cluster pays special attention to the use of alternative energy sources. In particular, solar panels have been installed on an area of 20 thousand square meters. This can cover up to 30 percent of the cluster's demand for electricity.
