Today, on July 4, an important event for the entire automotive industry of Uzbekistan took place at the structural enterprise of "UzAuto Motors Powertrain" plant of "UzAuto Motors Powertrain" JSC - solemn launching of a new line for machining of heads and cylinder blocks of new generation engines CSS Prime, used in the production of Chevrolet Tracker and Onix cars. The launch of this production line gave a start to a new stage of the company's development. This event was organized under the new slogan "Power To Drive".
Recall that the assembly of the engines of this generation was launched at the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant in December 2022. From today, the plant will carry out production with deeper localization, where raw parts arriving at the plant will be refined with high-precision machining using the most advanced technologies.
As a result of the start-up of the machining line, the localization level of CSS Prime engines will increase and quality will be improved by supplying components directly to the assembly line. In the future, it is planned to increase engine localization by launching a high-pressure casting shop for the block and cylinder head. Recall that after the launch of the production line of new CSS Prime engines in December last year, the production nominal capacity of the plant increased to 415 thousand internal combustion engines per year.

"UzAuto Motors Powertrain" strives to produce quality engines that meet the requirements of consumers in Uzbekistan and outside our country. The assembly of these engines is fully carried out on the territory of the enterprise, thanks to which the level of localization of Chevrolet Onix and Tracker cars will be much higher.
The next stage of engine localization will include the commissioning of a new foundry, which was built from scratch, and where cylinder block castings for CSS Prime engines will be produced.
