About 10,000 applicants took part in an open competition to fill vacancies announced by UzAuto Motors through the platform uzautojobs.uz. As a result, more than 1,700 new employees were hired at the Asaki Automobile Plant on the basis of an open competition.
Andijan region is the smallest and most densely populated region of our country. The region makes up 1% of the republic's territory, when its population is about 10%. Despite its compact size, the production and industrial enterprises located in the region occupy leading positions in the country's economy. In particular, the UzAuto Motors automobile plant is considered to be the largest employer in the region, employing more than 12,000 people.
In 2023, UzAuto Motors has set itself ambitious goals - to increase the production of cars by the end of the year to 400,000. One of the priority tasks to achieve this goal is to attract and create professional staff. To fill vacant positions with the most suitable candidates, the company improved its hiring processes and conducted independent selection processes to ensure openness and transparency in hiring suitable and capable people. The open competition consisted of several stages, for which more than 9,000 applications were received from candidates from Andijan, Fergana, and Namangan regions.
"Work on the selection for vacancies at the company is based on the abilities, interest and potential of young people. Also, a system has been launched to attract qualified specialists and talented young personnel with sufficient knowledge and skills for paid internships based on competitive results. At the end of the internship, the best specialists will be offered permanent jobs," said Muzaffar Shermatov, deputy director of the Human Resources Directorate.
It is worth noting that the company carries out active work on comprehensive support of personnel. Based on the personnel policy developed by the Human Resources Directorate of UzAuto Motors, an adaptation program for new personnel has been implemented, so that newly hired employees can quickly join the company's team, form teamwork skills and study the industry in depth.
The program consists of several stages, the first stage of which included introductory sessions with newly hired employees. The training included presentations on the company's strategy, mission and values, a detailed understanding of corporate regulations, safety rules at the plant, and most importantly, a range of important information, including salaries and KPIs (enterprise performance indicators).
In the second phase of the program, employees were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the team and the work environment. After the training sessions, the new personnel were directly familiarized with the production process.
Formation of the adaptation process at the enterprise has a direct impact not only on the personal characteristics of the employee, but also on the efficiency of the enterprise.
