Ulugbek Ubaydullaevich Rozukulov

Biography:

Ulugbek Rozukulov was born in 1969.

In 1993, he graduated with honors from Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1996, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Research Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and received a PhD degree in Economics.

Career:

1996-1998 – Worked in various positions at the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

1997-1998 – Head of the Treasury Department of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

1998-2003 – Head of the Currency and Economics Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2003-2005 – Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Investments of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2005-2006 – First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2006 – Head of the Information and Analytical Department for Economic and Foreign Economic Relations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2006-2007 – Executive Director of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2007-2008 – Chairman of the Board of the Joint-Stock Company “Uzavtosanoat”.

2008-2017 – Held the position of Chairman of the Board of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC, while simultaneously serving as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

2017-2018 – General Director of the National Airline “Uzbekistan Airways”.

2018-2023 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Indonesia.

2019-2023 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan ASEAN.

2023 – present days – Chairman of the Board of Joint-Stock Company “Uzavtosanoat”.

2023 – present – Chairman of the Gymnastics Federation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Awards:

2011 - He was awarded the “Mehnat Shuhrati” Order for his significant contribution to the economic and cultural development of Uzbekistan, improving the welfare of the population, and his services in strengthening peace and stability in the country.
