On May 23, 2025, the opening ceremony of “Turin x IT Park: AI Hackathon 2025” took place at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. The event is jointly organized with IT Park Uzbekistan and supported by the general sponsor “Uzavtosanoat” JSC.
The opening ceremony was attended by First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent Alisher Ashurov, Vice-Rector for Financial-Economic Affairs and Innovations Bakhtiyor Yokubov, Director of the IT Department of “UzAuto Motors” JSC Aziz Abdullaev and representatives from IT Park.
The hackathon is held as part of the implementation of the Presidential Decree PQ–358 on the “Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Uzbekistan until 2030”. The goal is to promote the potential of youth in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity and to encourage their involvement in modern technological fields.
At the first checkpoint stage, nearly 120 young participants were registered and 45 teams were formed.
